She worked as répétiteur at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and the Nationaltheater Mannheim before she was hired as deputy chorus master at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin in 2018. She has also received several invitations from the Bachchor Salzburg and the Rundfunkchor Berlin. In 2019, she led the choir rehearsals with the Rundfunkchor Berlin for Shostakovich`s 13. Symphony at the Berliner Philharmonie under the musical direction of Ingo Metzmacher and assisted in Verdi's Quattro pezzi sacri under the musical direction of Daniel Barenboim. Other well-known conductors with whom Anna Malek was honoured to work are Christoph von Dohnányi, Zubin Mehta and Stefan Soltesz a.o.

Anna Malek received a scholarship from the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation and studied vocal pedagogy and choral conducting at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and orchestral conducting at the University of Music and Drama in Hamburg.
